I Microneedled My Upper Thighs for Cellulite ... and Content
Is this how to be a wellness founder in 2025????
I launched Wild, Wild Wellness this past week on my social channels. I got my upper thighs microneedled as a cellulite treatment and filmed it to share - because I have to be honest with you - I’ve felt so meh about my own content online in the last year or two it’s almost as if I forgot how to share with you who I really am beyond a person that tells you how our vaginal probiotics work (but work well they do, sister).
Growing a business for the past decade (ok, 9 years) in the time of social media forces you to create a content strategy, and sometimes that strategy gets … a little snoozy. I’ve never been able to quite figure out the right blend between sharing 1) my business/products, 2) my personal life, and 3) interests outside of work like cooking (I went to culinary school back when I first moved to NYC).
With my history on reality TV, number two has always felt sticky and uncomfortable. I don’t want to trauma dump too much on here, but living under the weight of the opinions of strangers when I didn’t have any control over my edit has been tough from time to time. I was 16 when I got signed up, not realizing what was to come. I don’t think anyone did.
One of the reasons I started Love Wellness (in addition to being majorly sick and having very few options bc America) is because I didn’t want to continue with a career in entertainment - it was emotionally distressing as a very young adult whose frontal lobe wasn’t fully developed; instead I wanted a job to go to everyday that made me feel like I was in control of my own destiny. I wanted to do something that mattered deeply to me and provided emotional and financial security. Same as what you desire, I assume.
BUT ANYWAY, back to general cellulite and content strategy. I’ve been so focused the past years on communicating what I do at work, and that my business exists, and that I’ve evolved past my early twenties, and that I’m a SERIOUS BUSINESS PERSON, and to take me SERIOUSLY PLEASE (lolz) … that I think my social media content has become too “brand/product only” focused.
So in 2025 that’s going to change. I’m still going to be sharing education on social and Substack about women’s wellness and what I do - because it’s critically important to continue on our mission to drive innovation forward in this space, close to research gap, and provide access to affordable products that work really well … but I’m also going to be having more fun, and share more about my personal life and interests with you all online from here on out. Nothing to fear, right? He.He.He.

^^^ And that’s just a lil’ full-fat milk taste. Yum to full-fat!
For even more yum (heavy whipping cream), I’d be forever indebted to you if you’d consider upgrading to a paid subscription to the newsletter - it helps cover the cost of our wellness adventures so I can keep sharing them with you.
Only $5 a month — it’s probably easiest and kindest wellness choice you’ll make today.
Now, back to microneedling these thighs….
If you missed it on social, the first episode of Wild, Wild Wellness is a reflection of who I am and want to share with you- a wacky weirdo that loves to go deep into all kinds of things you can do for your body. Why not film the bananas stuff I’m doing in real life and share it with y’all? Re: upper thigh RF microneedling - I’ve always been desperately ashamed of my thighs (a topic for another post) and in 2025 I don’t care what anyone thinks about it - I wanted to try to do something about it!
So we headed to my personal doctor, Dr. Amanda Kahn, Board Certified Internist and longevity specialist for a little … treatment. She shared with me that radio-frequency microneedling is a great way to support skin laxity, sagging, and yes, cellulite on areas of the body besides the face. I am a YES GAL when it comes to this kind of stuff so I showed up with our social team ready to go.
Guess what, y’all? That MF hurt. I yelped. My internal temperature raised really quickly to sweating bullets level of heat. I don’t think I realized radio-frequency amps up the pain level of microneedling, a treatment I’ve done countless times on my face.
On the Wild Scale that treatment is a 9/10 wild. The suggestion is that the doc goes for three passes over an area and that you do the treatment a handful of times. The before and after pics at the doctor’s office of other people’s butts and thighs are magnificent.
I’m too scared to go again, though. I will live with my cellulite (or perhaps slightly less cellulite since I did manage one pass of the device, HAHAHAHA). What do you think about our new series? Let me know in the comments!
Respect this honesty so much. Wishing you all
The success, you deserve it. X
LOVE this whole 2025 strategy!! Loved you for years but yes as much as I love your brand, buy the products, you’re right the content was a little too businesssy and was missing the personal. All these new pieces of content are so great, big fan
